Museum - "Victor Brun"

The Natural History Museum in Montauban opened to the public in 1854, invites visitors to discover its permanent collection that is spread over 5 rooms, each one filled with treasures. You can read about how he came about to end his days in the gallery and you will also encounter every manner of cat (domestic and wild), a bear, a boar and a most remarkable collection of birds (humming birds, birds of paradise, toucans, parakeets). The varied ecosystems that exist in the Tarn et Garonne are displayed in the form of lifelike dioramas, the fossil collection of Quercy Phosphorites (dating from 23 to 40 million years ago) take you back in time, the meteorites come direct from outer space and the shell and marine life reveal the treasures of the sea.
